Malt Extract Agar (MEA) Petri Dishes

Mucci are proud to offer our tried and tested 90mm triple-vented “Agar Dishes” with high quality organic and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Our plates are excellent for any kind of gourmet mycelium growth that you wish to study. All our plates are created in our lab with professional flowhood technology and temperature-controlled environments meaning we can provide some of the most sterile agar on the market and maintain our highest quality standards, allowing us to ultimately deliver you contamination free agar plates.

Petri dishes are vacuum sealed meaning if you store them until you’re ready to study at room temperature in a dark place they will be fine for up to 3 months, providing the packaging remains sealed.

Once opened, cover or seal the remaining plates and for best results store in a cool environment, a medical fridge is recommended but a normal fridge will be sufficient. between 2-8°C

Important notes!!!

There may be some condensation from time to time on some of the plates due to adverse temperature changes during transit from hot to cold or vice versa, this is rare due to our vacuum packaging and next day delivery services.

To fix the issue before using the plates store the plates upside-down (agar side up) for 12 hours then return to normal once condensation has dissipated.
